What it is

The Foster Care Support Foundation runs Georgia's largest free clothing and equipment program for children in care. Families "shop" a full warehouse in Roswell at no cost — and if you're far from metro Atlanta, FCSF ships mail orders to every county in the state.

They also serve recently aged-out young adults, and run a prom dress program each spring.

What you can get

  • Clothing, newborn through teen
  • Shoes and coats
  • Cribs & infant equipment
  • Toys and books
  • Diapers & basics
  • Prom dresses (seasonal)

How to access it

  1. Have your placement paperwork ready — services are for children currently in foster, kinship, or relative care.
  2. Call (770) 641-9591 to book a shopping appointment in Roswell, or ask about a mail order if the drive is too far.
  3. Refresh sizes as the child grows — you can come back. Clothing is replenished seasonally.

For caseworkers: how to refer

No formal referral form — give the family the phone number and remind them to bring placement verification. For emergency placements needing same-week clothing, mention the placement date when calling. Add this to your new-family packet.

Good to know

Donation-stocked, so inventory varies — call ahead if you need something specific like a crib or a car seat. Volunteers process and sort donations weekly; if you want to help stock these shelves, that's a rung on the ladder.
