What happens when you open a page
Every page here is a plain, pre-written HTML file. There is no database of visitors, no user profiles, and no code watching what you read. The site’s JavaScript does two things — it opens and closes the menu on small screens, and it draws the newsletter signup form you’ll see further down this page. Neither one stores or sends anything unless you actually submit that form.
Like any website, the server that delivers these files can keep standard access logs — the kind that record an IP address, the page requested, and a timestamp, typically for security and debugging. That's a property of web hosting itself, not something we add.
Hosting details — to be completed
This page can't yet name the hosting provider or its exact log-retention practices, and we won't invent them. Before launch, this section must be filled in with the actual host and a link to its privacy policy.
The one third-party request: Google Fonts
The site's two typefaces (Young Serif and Nunito Sans) load from Google Fonts. That means when a page opens, your browser makes a request to Google's servers — fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com — and, as with any web request, Google's servers can see your IP address and which site asked for the font. How Google handles font-request data is governed by Google's own privacy policy; we can't make promises on their behalf, so we're telling you the request exists.
We get nothing from it — no reports, no visitor data, no analytics. It is a font file, but it is a real third-party connection, and you deserve to know about the only one this site makes.
Phone links
The phone numbers on this site — the abuse reporting line, the foster inquiry line, crisis lines, nonprofit contacts — are plain tel: links. Tapping one dials directly from your own phone, through your own carrier. The call is between you and whoever answers; Foster411 has no record that you called, and no way to have one.
If you sign up for the monthly email
The signup form stores your email address and the interests you check in two places: Resend (the service that sends our email) and our own database. We use them for exactly one thing — sending you what you asked for. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can manage which topics you get on the preferences page it links to. Want to be deleted entirely, from both places? Email us and it’s done.
Nothing here is reported to anyone
We know who reads pages like these: families looking up grievance procedures, disruption policies, per diem disputes, what happens if they say no to a placement call. So let's be plain about it. Reading this site is not reported to DFCS, your case manager, your agency, or anyone else. There is no mechanism by which it could be — no accounts, no tracking, no reading history. Look up whatever you need to look up.

We link out constantly — to pamms.dhs.ga.gov, fostergeorgia.com, nonprofit sites, and others — because citing sources is the whole point of this site. Once you follow a link, you're on that organization's site under its own privacy practices, which we don't control.
If any of this changes
This page describes the site as it actually works as of July 2026. If the site ever adds something that touches your privacy — a contact form, a search box, anything third-party beyond the fonts — this page gets updated first, and the date here changes. If this page and reality ever disagree, that's a bug: please report it.
